OFFICIAL RULES

No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win. The Africa Channel "Discover Africa: Hampton Roads" Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") begins March 6, 2008, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on April 16, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. PT (the "Contest Period"). Contest is sponsored and hosted by The Africa Channel, 11135 Magnolia Boulevard, Suite 110, North Hollywood, California 91601 ("Sponsor").

1. ELIGIBILITY. Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the states of Virginia and North Carolina only, who are of the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry. Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives of The Africa Channel, Cox Communicatons Hampton Roads, Interplay Media & Marketing LLC LLC, or the promotion and advertising agencies of any aforementioned entity, and their immediate family members and those living in their household, and each person or entity connected with the production, administration or judging of the Contest, and each parent company, affiliate, subsidiary, agent and representative of any aforementioned entity are not eligible.

2. HOW TO ENTER. No purchase necessary. You may enter either online or in person. For online entry, log onto The Africa Channel site located at www.theafricachannel.com and navigate to the Sweepstakes Web page prior to April 16, 2008 ("Deadline"). Complete the online entry form in its entirety, including your full name, complete address, including city, state and ZIP code, area code and telephone number and e-mail address. Submit your completed online entry in accordance with the on-screen instructions during the Sweepstakes Period. For in-person entry visit one of the three participating Cox Communications Service Centers, located at Best Square, 415 N. Military Highway, Norfolk, VA 23502; Lynnhaven Mall, 2720 N. Mall Drive Suite 196, Virginia Beach, VA 23452; Kiln Creek, 209 Village Avenue, York County, VA 23693 or one of three Cox Communications Mall Kiosks, located at Greenbrier Mall, Food Court, 1401 Greenbrier Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320; Lynnhaven Mall, Center Court, 701 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23452; Pembroke Mall, Food Court, 4554 Virginia Beach Blvd., Suite 65, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, or visit Kente's Restaurant located at 301 North Back River Road, Hampton, VA 23669, or visit the Self Improvement Educational Center located at 600 West 35th Street, Norfolk, VA 23508 between March 6 and April 16, 2008, request and complete an official entry form, and submit the form into the official Discover Africa sweepstakes entry box. The Africa Channel is available only to residential customers in Cox Communications Hampton Roads service areas who subscribe to Cox Digital Cable with the Variety Tier. Digital receiver rental ($5.50/month). Televisions and other consumer owned devises equipped with a CableCARD may require a digital set top receiver in order to receive all programming options offered by Cox Digital Cable. To be considered an eligibly entry, Online entries for the Sweepstakes must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on April 16, 2008, as applicable, according to time noted on Sponsor's internal computerized clock; In-person entries must be received by close of business on April 16, 2008. All eligible Sweepstakes entries will be entered for a chance to win the grand and first prizes. Each online entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the e-mail address identified in the entrant's entry as of March 6, 2008. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account governing the e-mail address was opened. Entrants must provide all information and signed forms requested to be eligible to win. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries, including garbled entries, in the sole discretion of The Africa Channel, will be disqualified. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

3.  SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF CHOSEN ENTRANTS. Each eligible entrant will be entered into the random drawing for the grand and first prizes. On approximately April 30, 2008, Eleven entries will be chosen by random drawing by a representative of Sponsor from among all eligible entries received to win the One Grand Prize and Ten First prizes, respectively ("Selected Entrants"). The Selected Entrants will be notified by phone and/or e-mail on approximately April 30, 2008, as applicable. All Selected Entrants will be required to respond (as directed) to the phone and/or e-mail notification within 72 hours of attempted notification. The failure to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of the prize and, in such case, Sponsor may randomly select an alternate chosen entrant from among the remaining eligible entries. Each Selected Entrant will also be sent an affidavit of eligibility / liability / publicity release ("Release"). Unless restricted by law, each Selected Entrant will be required to complete and return the Release within the time period specified therein, but in no event later than 72 hours after notification. An alternate selected entrant may be randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries if a selected entrant: (i) cannot be reached; (ii) fails to obtain all signatures on the Release and to return the documents in a timely manner as required pursuant to these Official Rules; (iii) cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason.

4. PRIZES. GRAND PRIZE: The first one (1) Selected Entrant will receive one (1) trip for two to Ghana, West Africa. Grand Prize trip package includes: one (1) trip for two to Ghana, West Africa. Grand Prize 10-day trip package includes roundtrip economy class air transportation for two (2) from Norfolk International Airport (ORF) to John F. Kennedy Airport, New York (JFK), connecting roundtrip economy class air transportation for two (2) on North American Airlines from John F. Kennedy Airport, New York (JFK) to Accra, Ghana (ACC); 4 nights accommodations at the Golden Tulip Hotel or Alisa Hotel, 2 nights accommodations at the Sir Max Hotel in Kumasi, 2 nights accommodations at the Elmina Beach Resort at Cape Coast; Accra City Tour, Cape Coast Tour, Kumasi City Tour, Craft Villages Tour; related ground transportation and roundtrip airport transfers in Africa. Companion must travel with selected entrant together on the same itinerary and, if companion is a minor, must obtain permission from a parent or guardian prior to travel. All costs and expenses not specifically listed herein are the sole responsibility of the Selected Grand Prize Entrant winner including, without limitation, paperwork or charges associated with passports, visas, immunization, meals other than those specified, optional excursions, trip protection coverage, alcoholic beverages (beer, wine and liquor), all beverages, personal telephone calls and fax, room service, laundry service, personal items, baggage handling, gratuity, transportation not otherwise specified herein, special airport fees, taxes and levies, if any. The trip must take place before April 30, 2009 (extensions will not be granted) and must be taken as a single excursion. Any portion of the trip not redeemed for any reason shall be deemed forfeited. The following travel blackout dates apply: December 24th, 2008 – January 1st, 2009. Certain travel restrictions / requirements set forth by regulatory agencies and/or transportation carriers may apply. Selected Entrants may be responsible for additional airport fees and taxes, including September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 per round-trip. These taxes and fees, along with other fees that may be part of the Grand Prize are the responsibility of the Selected Entrant. Approximate retail value ("ARV") of Grand Prize package is four thousand six hundred eighty two U.S. Dollars (US$4,682.00). FIRST PRIZES: ten (10) first prize Selected Entrants will each receive one (1) $25 gift certificate to The Africa Channel online music store, ARV of twenty five US dollars (US$25.00) each. ARV of all prizes is four thousand nine hundred thirty two U.S. Dollars (US$4,932.00). Selected Entrants cannot assign or transfer their prize to another person. No prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsor. If prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value may be awarded.

5. ODDS. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries.

6. CONDITIONS. Contest is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, entrants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, winner agrees to release Sponsor, Cox Communications Hampton Roads, Interplay Media & Marketing LLC (including the parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities of each) together with the respective directors, employees, officers, licensees, licensors and agents of each, including without limitation, their respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Contest, (collectively, the Releasees) from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Sponsor reserves the right to use the Contest for publicity purposes in any media, and to use the name, likeness, and hometown name and/or prize information of selected entrants as part of that publicity, without any compensation or prior review unless prohibited by law. Any such use with respect to minors shall be subject to prior approval of parent or legal guardian. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of selected entrants, and selected entrants who are U.S. residents may be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of any awarded prize. This Contest is void outside the state of Virginia and North Carolina, and where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to applicable federal, state provincial and local laws. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or violating these Official Rules. The Releasees shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (v) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Contest, and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest in any way by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other players or Sponsor representatives. Use of any automated system to participate is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor may disqualify at its sole discretion any entries it believes are created by an automated system. Disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or this Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of California. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

7.  PRIVACY. All personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for administration of the Sweepstakes only. Any questions regarding privacy matters should be directed to the address set out below. Please refer to Sponsor's privacy policy located at URL www.theafricachannel.com for important information regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by Sponsor.

9. WINNERS LIST.
