Michaels has over 19 years of experience in accounting and finance, with special expertise in television networks. Michaels has served as a Finance Controller/Director or Chief Financial officer for several major media corporations in the last 15 years. She served as an Account Executive for Katz American Television in Los Angeles, negotiating advertisement rates between station management and advertising agencies for 14 broadcast affiliate stations.

As Director of Finance at Fox Television, she was responsible for planning and analyzing financial reporting related to 22 television stations. Her duties included providing analytical support to News Corp on behalf of all the stations for the Fox Entertainment Group IPO.

As Director of Finance at ABC Television, Michaels was responsible for corporate level planning and control functions for ABC TV and Radio. Her responsibilities included reviewing monthly/quarterly forecasts, annual operating plans and annual five-year strategic plans for the various ABC entities. In addition, she preformed all purchase accounting upon Disney’s acquisition of the Fox Family Channel.

As Executive Director of Finance and Interim Chief Financial Officer at ABC Family, Michaels was responsible for all financial reporting, analysis and planning for the cable channel which included evaluating all programming acquisitions and productions. In addition, she compiled the data for the cable channel’s post-acquisition valuation.

As Chief Financial Officer at International Media Group, she was responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting and financing for two Asian language television stations and corporate headquarters. Her functions included daypart and programming profitability analysis, preparation of road show documents for potential capital raising campaign and preparation of pro-forma 5 year plan financials.

Michael's career accomplishments are built on a solid foundation as a CPA in the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen. Michaels holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
