Mr. Smith joined The Africa Channel executive team in July of 2005. During the previous four years he served as Executive Director of Save Africa's Children / Pan African Children's Fund were he was responsible for overseeing, fundraising, operations and management of the Fund. The organization raises money in the US to fund and support several hundred orphan care projects on the continent of Africa.

Mr. Smith brings with him over 30 years of senior level management experience having worked for Proctor & Gamble and Helene Curtis Inc. He also founded SMITH & ASSOCIATES, a management consulting firm which he managed for over 13 years before joining the Save Africa's Children / Pan African Children's Fund in 2001.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College with degrees in Business Management and Psychology.
